Preparation of Roof for Application of Protective Coatings

SMR will repair any damaged areas, as deemed necessary by our SMR surveyor, to successfully facilitate the application of the SMR roof treatment system. Any extraordinary repairs agreed upon and deemed as extras at the time of quotation must be clearly marked as extras in the special instructions section of the contract and will be charged accordingly.

1. Further tile replacement is carried out as necessary.
2. All loose ridge caps/bonnets are re-bedded as necessary.
3. Ridges, hips and valleys are re-pointed as necessary.
4. Works to chimney and chimney stacks to be marked down as Extras.
5. Works to Gable ends to be marked down as Extras.
6. All flashings to be checked to ensure that there is no damage. All works to flashings to marked down as Extras.
7. Next there is a general tidy up of working area to prepare for the applicationof the SMR protective coatings.
